Split Systems
Split system air conditioners are designed to cool or heat single rooms, such as a living room or individual bedrooms.
Split system air conditioning is perfect for those on a smaller budget, they are an excellent, cost-effective solution to heat or cool a single room or area of a house. Split systems provide both heating and cooling and can be installed in almost any location.
We supply the most energy efficient and quiet split systems available on the market.
Advantages of Split System Air Conditioning
- Easy installation: Since there is no ductwork to install the units are much easy to set up. The indoor unit can be up to 25-30m away from the outdoor condenser, yet only requires a small hole in the wall for the copper tubing and control wiring.
- Easy maintenance: Split system air conditioners are easy to maintain. They have washable filters and require small amounts of routine maintenance. Outdoor units are designed for easy access for maintenance and repairs.
- Cost-effectiveness: Split air conditioning systems cost as low as 10 cents an hour to run.
- Quiet operation: Indoor and outdoor units are quiet enough they can be installed almost anywhere without the worry of causing disturbance to anyone.
- Heating capability: Most split air conditioning units are reverse cycle meaning they heat and cool, so you can live and work comfortably year-round.
- Inverter Technology: Most split systems come with inverter technology, meaning less power usage and a more consistent temperature inside the room.
- Simple control: All split systems come with easy to use remotes loaded with features.
- Attractive design: Instead of a big, clunky window unit you have air conditioning units that blend well into indoor decor. There is no need to block your windows either.

Multi Split Systems
If you are considering air conditioning more than one area of your house, but design constraints mean you cannot accommodate a ducted system, we believe a multi split air conditioning system is a great alternative.
Multi split systems can air condition up to nine rooms using only one outdoor condenser unit. It is possible to tailor the system to suit your specific needs with a combination of wall mounted units.
This system is ideal if you want to individually control the temperature in each room or you prefer different types of units in each room. They would work well in residential homes, apartments, villas and townhouses.
Advantages of Multi Split System Air Conditioning
Convenient and economical: Multi split air conditioning systems are among today’s most state-of-the-art types of air conditioning. One outside unit can easily power up to 9 indoor units simultaneously, yet it stays energy efficient when operating only one indoor unit.
Flexible and Space saving installation: Most multi split air conditioning systems can be installed in large structures and over several floor or levels due to the maximum offered piping length. Multiple interior units can be connected to one outside device instead of several outdoor units. This gives you greater installation versatility and room saving choices.
Independent unit control: Each indoor unit can be run and controlled independently. Such as on/off, temperature setting, air motion and time clock operation. Each unit has its own wireless remote.

Ducted Systems
Here at Bay Air we understand that purchasing a ducted air conditioning system is one of the largest investments you will make on your home. We take the time to get to know you and help customize a solution that’s right for you.
Ducted air conditioning consists of a simple one touch controller that keeps your home cool in summer and warm in winter. A ducted air conditioning system is powered by a compressor/condenser that is installed outside. The indoor unit can be conveniently installed in the ceiling or under the floor. The conditioned air is then distributed via ductwork which leads to vents or diffusers where the conditioned air then heats or cools the individual rooms. Ducted reverse cycle systems are the ultimate in-home comfort and climate control.
Only the Best in Quality
Rinnai ducted air conditioning systems, Mitsubishi Electric ducted air conditioning systems and Daikin ducted air conditioning systems are our preferred systems for all residential installations.
Zoning
Ducted air conditioning systems are usually designed to operate in two or more zones (up to 8 with Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric zone controllers), which can be heated or cooled at different times. This means you can operate your ducted system in the living area during the day and in the bedrooms at night saving you money on energy costs.
Diffusers
Advantages of Ducted Air Conditioning
- Whole home solution: Every room has all year-round heating and cooling.
- Easy control: Central temperature and zone control with set and forget timers.
- Zones: Up to 8 separate air-conditioned zones give flexibility and economy. (up-to 14 with izone controllers)
- Even air distribution: No hot or cold spots in your home.
- Huge range: Many different systems are available including Inverters, Digital Scroll and Premium Inverter systems from 5KW to 25kW cooling capacity. Models are available in both single and three-phase. This large range of available systems means there is a ducted solution for every size and style of home.
- Style: With only grills or diffusers mounted in ceiling or floor being visible, ducted systems do not intrude into the overall look of your interior design.
- Noise: With all the noise producing equipment in the ceiling, under the floor or outside, ducted air conditioning is the quietest of all air conditioning options.
- Adding Value: In most houses it is cheaper to install ducted air conditioning than to install wall hung split systems in every room. Adding ducted air conditioning also increase the sale value of your home.
